Poinsettia and Mistletoe
The bright red “flowers” of the poinsettia are not actually flowers at all but are modified leaves that have changed colour due to exposure of prolonged sunlight. Embracing under the mistletoe originates as a symbol of the love of Christ for all mankind.
This pattern is worked in the round and I use abbreviations according to US crochet language. I can provide the pattern in UK crochet language if preferred, please just contact me.
The finished poinsettia is 5.75” (14.5cm) in diameter and the finished mistletoe is 2.75” (7cm) in length . These are perfect for decorating a Christmas wreath but could also be used as brooches, to embellish bags or simply as floral decorations.
