The Poinsettia Collar is a super easy knit, coming in one size, but two versions – a more elegant mohair one (using one strand of sports weight merino and one strand of mohair) and a chunky worsted weight merino edition.

This is a great knit to use up some scrap yarn, as you need less than one skein of each yarn. Make sure to weigh your leftovers, though, to avoid running out before you finish.

The Poinsettia Collar is knit bottom up flat in garter stitch, with double decreases used to shape the star form. Once the star is built up, you knit a few rows in stockinette stitch to form a slightly curling neck edge.

Finally, a button and a little loop are added separately to close the collar at the front.
