This adorable poinsettia dog hat will test various skills. The hat is knit in the round, the poinsettia is crocheted, and finally, there is some light sewing to attach the flower to the hat. It works up in about 10 hours depending on your speed. This pattern is an adorable prop or festive accessory for your large dog.

The head circumference of the dog in the photo is 17 inches but will work for an 18 inch circumference. We think it will also work for head circumferences between 17 - 22 inches. If your pup’s head is less than 17 inches you will have to adjust the hat pattern.

This pattern is best suited for intermediate knitter/crocheters. The pattern does include a lot of pictures and links to tutorial videos, so if you’re a beginner you need not shy away.
