I needed something quick and easy to make for Christmas gifts this year. We are moving in January and my mind is not on following a pattern where I have to make lots of different patterns.

This is PERFECT! It is the PERFECT pattern to memorize when making the yellow center. And once you have one bract (we normally think of them as petals) completed, the rest are just repeats.
