Pointed Chevron Scarf
This lovely scarf features the classic “pointed chevron” lace pattern. I’ve written the pattern in two ways so you can choose the one best suited to your taste.
For knitters who like it simple, you start at one end and knit in pattern until the scarf measures as long as you like, then stop.
The chevrons all point in the same direction from beginning to end.
For those who like a challenge, you will knit 2 identical halves of the scarf, beginning both in the middle with a provisional cast on. This way when you wear the scarf around your neck the chevrons both point upward. You will graft the 2 pieces together with a Kitchener stitch.
Whichever pattern you choose, you finish the scarf with borders knit separately and sewn to the ends
The sample was knit on size 5 needles using the luxurious Louet Mooi yarn, a blend of 15% bison, 15% cashmere, 70% bamboo or can be made with Trendsetter Mimi 100% mink yarn.
These yarns have a silky softness that makes knitting with them a pleasure beyond words. One skein makes a scarf that measures 7 inches wide by 72 inches long.
