Points of Light Baby Blanket
A simple slip stitch pattern worked in 5 shades of a single color family gives this baby blanket a luminous quality, and wraps your baby in soft comfort. Finished off with a coordinating border & easy reverse single crochet makes this an easy to knit blanket with stunning results.
To achieve the look shown chose 5 shades of one color - light, light-medium, medium, medium-dark & dark. Simple changes in color can give this blanket a whole different look. Try using two related, or contrasting color families, primary colors or combining a solid color with a matching variegated one.
Chose a worsted weight yarn with a smooth finish for the best results. The sample shown was knit using Creatively Dyed Woodbrook Worsted Weight Superwash, 1 ball/250 yds each color.
