Felted ears gauge will depend on your yarn and how much you felt it.

Need about 125 yards of black worsted for the hat and about 50 yards of skin-coloured feltable wool for the ears (25 yards per ear).

Can use worsted weight yarn for ears but you might need to experiment with number of stitches and amount of felting.
