Pokémon poké balls (2 types)
This is a great way to use up stash yarn, especially if it’s too scratchy for softer projects like clothing. It’s best to have all matching yarn (weight/brand) so all of your sides line up well. Worsted weight is ideal, but you could use DK or even chunky if you want a larger version.
I don’t typically crochet, but it was the best & fastest option I could find. Apologies for any bad crochet abbreviations - please comment or message me with any corrections!
Corrections made 8/3/16! New PDF is available.
Materials:
Worsted weight yarn - pure red, white, and black
Crochet hook - size H
Tapestry needle
Polyfill or other filling (stuffed version only)
Locking Stitch Markers (functional version only)
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (2 single crochets in 1 stitch)
dec = decrease *
- I suggest an “invisible decrease” - 1 chain in front loop of 1st stitch, 1 chain in front loop of 2nd stitch, then pull the 2nd “single crochet” chain through all 3 loops on your hook
