Pola
Happy release promo! The pattern for Pola is 15% off until Saturday, the 18th of January, midnight, Amsterdam time.
THE PROMOCODE FOR MOONSTRUCK KNITS NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIBERS IS VALID UNTIL THE 19TH OF JANUARY, MIDNIGHT, AMSTERDAM TIME
Pola takes its inspiration from a stunning wedding dress by Viktor & Rolf, designed for Dutch princess Mabel. The dress’s vintage charm and striking lattice motif sparked the idea to translate its essence into knitwear. To echo the original design’s delicate details, the pattern includes an optional embellishment: small bows placed at the cable crossings.
With its timeless silhouette and understated elegance, Pola is both versatile and eye-catching - a piece that’s as unique as it is wearable.

CONSTRUCTION
Pola is knitted seamlessly from the top down. The project begins with casting on stitches for the neckline, followed by the collar and its facing. Short rows are then used to raise the back of the neck. The yoke is initially worked in a 2x2 rib pattern, incorporating additional short rows to angle the neckline forward.
The lower yoke transitions into a cabled diamond pattern, shaped further with raglan increases. After completing the yoke, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold while the body is knitted in the round to the hem, where ribbing finishes the edge. The body can be customized with or without tapering for a tailored or relaxed fit.
Once the body is complete, the sleeves are worked top top-down in the round. For a final touch, optional knotted bows can be added at the cable crossings for a unique embellishment.
