This pattern is part of my Animals and Their Young collection, and is perfect for crocheting as a stand alone project or a companion pillow to one of my bear blanket designs. This design is an easy skill level, so it is a great project for beginners or crocheters who are new to mosaic overlay crochet.

Size will vary depending on yarn weight and hook.
This calculation was based on Stylecraft Special DK yarn and hook size of 3.75mm. Gauge: 5 stitched and 5 rows=1 inch

Color B- 538 yds (Background Color)
Edging/Border – 125 yds

Notions:
1” Buttons (5)
Pillow insert (18” x 18” or larger depending on your gauge)

Update:** I have added a full chart on one planning page for those of you who want to be adventure with color! New photos show a third color (tapestry technique) that one of my testers made. There are not specific instructions for this in the pattern, but I have several YouTube tutorials about color change that you can access through the link above.
