Its texture reminds me of the Animal Print coats and waistcoats that are so popular at the moment. That’s why I took inspiration from them to make a long waistcoat using this material. I think it’s a very wearable garment. I chose black because it’s a colour that goes with everything and the final result is beautiful and elegant.

MATERIALS
Katia Polar: 4 balls black (col. 87); 1 ball grey (col. 85)
Knitting needles: 11 (U.S.)/(8 mm)

Garter stitch: work all stitches and all rows in knit stitch.

HOW TO FOLLOW THE WORK
We are going to make this waistcoat in three separate principal pieces, and then join them together:

• Back
• Left front
• Right front We will also make three additional decorative pieces, in another colour, so they stand out in contrast to the main garment colour:

• Belt
