Polaris
Let the north wind blow! The thick cowl is ready for winter.
Polaris cowl has a higher ribbing at the other edge, which can be fully turned inside, or folded in or out.
Turned inside, the higher ribbing can be worn either top or bottom. When worn bottom the ribbing conforms the neck, while the outer stranded pattern layer is wider and can be pulled as high as wanted, up to the back of the head and / or covering the ears. The neck is protected, although the top edge is loose fitting, leaving space around the face.
Tension: 13 sts / 10 cm in stockinette stitch.
The pattern can be easily adjusted for different sizes, knitting tensions or for a thicker or thinner yarn.
Yarn: 2 skeins, about the same amount in each two colours. The model is in Finnsheep wool yarn of Honkarinteen Tila, ~ 150 m / 100 g, ~ 80 g each or ~ 160 g in total.
The pattern is available as a PDF file.
