This cosy uses the Polish Star pattern where chains of crochet in two different colours are plaited together at the end to create the stars.
This size had 10 pattern repeats. I did also make it in a smaller size, about 23 cm by 12 cm, which used 5 pattern repeats
The gauge is a bit difficult to explain but 2 pattern repeats is about 8 cm when finished and with all the loops woven in.
Two buttons
One 4mm crochet hook.
Yarn used was double knitting or two strands of 3 ply acrylic.
Approximately 25 gm of each colour.
This is my first pattern on Ravelry and I would welcome any criticism and feedback.

Several years on from first making it my original has stretched and is now quite loose on my cafetiere. I have backed it with a piece of fleece stitched on by hand which has had the dual effect of increasing the insulation as well as stabilising the fabric at the original size.
