Polite Points
Both cowl and scarf versions available in pattern.
This pattern creates the border first, then adds the body of the cowl or scarf.
The pattern was written for a backwards knitting workshop taught at the 2020 Winter Wooly Weekend in south-central Indiana. Hosted by Serendipity Fibers and Good For Ewe Yarns.
“Reverse” knitting or “backwards” knitting is used in this project when working the short rows of the bottom border triangles. This is a great project for practicing your “backwards” knitting!
The pattern does not teach you “how” to knit backwards, but videos are available online from various people, or you can try to puzzle it out. Just don’t twist the stitches and you’ll be set!
