Deceptively simple, this blanket is worked all in one piece, and the pattern is reversible. It’s ideal for beginners as it uses just basic knit and purl stitches and the unisex design means it’s also a good baby shower gift.

Instructions are given for two sizes:
Small: approx. 68 x 74 cm (27 x 29”), requires 400g (544m/596yds) chunky yarn
Large: approx. 82 x 86 cm (32 x 34”), requires 500g (680/745yds) chunky yarn

I used Paintbox Simply Chunky, an easy care acrylic yarn, but any yarn that works to about 14st and 20 rows to 10 cm (4”) should work - please check the yardage carefully.
You will also need 6 mm needles (a circular needle is best for the large size)
