Polka Dot Hearts
Valentine’s Day is around the corner, so here is a free knitting pattern for a fun texture that you can apply to many different designs!
This is a free knit stitch pattern. It includes both written and chart instructions.
This is a very easy stitch pattern and great for beginners. It is also interesting enough for more advanced knitters too. The hearts are produced using reverse stockinette stitch. They are surrounded by stockinette stitch, which helps them pop from the fabric.
There are many opportunities for customization with this free knitting pattern. It can be used to make sweaters, hats, scarves, cowls, home decor items, and more! You can change the size of the hearts, spacing of the hearts, add in other knit stitch patterns, the possibilities are really endless!
NOTES:
- Worked flat or in the round, this pattern uses a multiple of 10 stitches and a 22 row/round repeat.
- Interested in the yarn I used? It is Crafter’s Secret yarn by Hobby Lobby in the color Hot Rose.
- Stitch Guide: Knit - k, purl - p, repeat (rep), stitch(es) - st(s), right side - rs, wrong side - ws
