Polkadot Parade is a full-sized triangular shawl featuring a spots and stripes pattern, finished with a slip stitch border and a picot bind off.

The polkadot sections are juxtaposed with textured garter and stocking stitch stripes in a different colour. The shawl’s two colours are intended to be similar in tone, so the overall effect is a subtle and muted blend. This shawl could, however, be knitted in colours with more contrast producing a stronger striping effect, or even in a single colour.

The pattern is worked flat, from written instructions. It is a pattern suitable for an intermediate knitter.
