A jolly candy-striped kerchief, named for the famous Swedish confection. Designed to make the most of a couple of mini skeins, this kerchief is a quick and simple knit.

Kate Davies Designs Milarrochy Tweed (70% Wool; 30% Mohair; 100m / 109yds per 25g ball) in the following shades:
A Cranachan x 1 ball
B Hirst x1 ball
Needles and notions
60-80cm gauge-size needle(s)
above gauge-size needle (any length) for bind off.
4 stitch markers. Tapestry needle.
Gauge
24 sts and 38 rows to 10cm / 4in over garter stitch worked back and forth.
Gauge was achieved on 3.25mm / US 3 needle.

Pattern notes
This garter stitch kerchief begins by casting on a few stitches at the centre back neck. Stitches are then increased at an even rate over each 4 row stripe to form an elongated triangle, two sides of which can be tied comfortably around the neck.
