Polly Dolly is an easy to follow pattern using basic knitting skills. There are plenty of step by step photos included in the pattern for guidance should it be needed.

You will need small amounts of double knit yarn or equivalent in the colours shown or colours of your own choice.

A pair each of 3.5mm and 5mm knitting needles, a good quality polyester fibre fill and buttons for decoration unless the doll is for a very young child where they could be replaced by embroidery stitches.

Tension is not too important for toys. As a general guide if you find your stitches are tight on the needles then move up a needle size, or, if they are always looser go down a size. Either way, the size of ‘POLLY DOLLY’ will just vary slightly. Please be aware that you will be using fibre fill and you will achieve a better result if your knitting isn’t too gappy.
