The shirt is worked seamlessly from the top down, using the Contiguous method (created by Susie Myers) to shape the shoulders and the sleeve caps. First, the increases are made in both RS and WS rows to the required width of the back.
Then, the sleeve caps are worked simultaneously with the neckline shaping and the button closure, to the body and sleeve separation. The body is worked in the round, to the bottom ribbing. The sleeves are also worked from the top down in the round. The collar is worked last.

Needles
4 mm (US6) circular needles with a cable length of 40-60 cm (16-24 in) (depending on the size of the garment);
3.5 mm (US4) circular needles with a cable length of 40-60 cm (16-24 in) for the bottom band;
additional 3.5 mm (US4) circular needles with a cable length of 60 cm (24 in) for the linking seam of the collar.
4 mm (US6) double pointed needles (or circular needles with a long cable length when using the Magic Loop method) for the sleeves;
3.5 mm (US4) double pointed needles for the cuffs.
