The exact yarn used for the pictured earflap hat is Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice yarn in dusty purple and rose mist. Two strands were crocheted together to create a super chunky yarn. For the ties and pom pom, worsted weight cream yarn was added.

The beanie was made using Lion Brand Hometown yarn in Salem Creek Other good yarns for this hat would be: Bernat Softee Chunkee and Wool-Ease Thick and Quick. These are all super chunky 6 yarns.

Gauge: 4 dc by 6 rows = 2” by 4”

This pattern can easily be customized with different color combinations and types of yarn. I’ve included directions for making a beanie and for making a hat with earflaps.
