Pom-Pom Fingerless Mitts
Pattern description from Interweave Knits, Spring 2006: “Worked from the knuckles down to the hand in a sensuous cashmere blend, these fingerless mitts sport a pretty cable pattern that flows seamlessly into the ribbing at both ends. In ultra-girly pink yarn embellished with dainty pom-poms, they go well with a steaming cup of hot chocolate.”
Finished Size: About 7” (18 cm) hand circumference and 8.5” (21.5 cm) long.
Yarn: SR. Kertzer Truffles (80% wool, 20% cashmere; 81 yd 75 m/25 g): #2140 pink, 3 skeins.
Needles: Size 5 (3.75 mm): set of 4 or 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Cable needle (cn), makers (m), tapestry needle.
Gauge: One 12-st cable panel = One and 3/8 inches (3.5 cm) wide, unstretched; 36 rnds = 4” (10 cm) long in cable patt.
