Pom Pom Shorties are a great little summer sock project. Ankle socks knit up so quickly, and let you wear your knitted socks all summer long.

Depending on your foot length, the small socks take approximately 180 yards, so it’s a great use for all those half-skeins in your stash!

The pom poms are optional, and add a cute little touch to peek out over your shoes, or just to wear as fun house socks. Each pom pom takes about 3 yards, so it’s a great way to use up leftovers.

The texture along the instep is created with fun and simple lifted stitches, which are easily memorized after a few rounds.
