Now your pompoms can be as individual as your hats! Pomball: Framed has twisted-stitch cables framing wider cables in this delicate fingering-weight hat. Fairly slouchy, with a small pomball featuring sculptural single-stitch cables.

Pattern has written and charted instructions and includes a photo tutorial for attaching the pomball.

Approximate Yardage: 140 (210, 275, 360, 440) yds / 130 (190, 250, 330, 400) m (fingering weight). Yardage is calculated with 15% security.

All sizes but the smallest are written to be slouchy hats. The 16” / 40cm size is written to be a beanie. This is based on my experiences as a mother trying to keep hats on heads in car seats and strollers.

Needles: U.S. 2 / 2.75 mm needles for working in the round (magic loop OR short circular + DPNs OR just DPNs) or size needed to get gauge, and U.S. 1 / 2.25mm DPNs or needle smaller than hat for pomball

Notions: darning needle, small amount of stuffing, stitch markers
