Pomegranate (Fruit - whole and cut)
Pomegranates are fruits grown throughout Asia, the Mediterranean countries and in California. When cut, you can see hundreds of seeds inside, packed in compartments that are separated by bitter. The seeds are edible and they are rich in potassium. They also contain a fair amount of vitamin C.
The whole fruit is 3.5 inches/8.9cm in height and 3 inches/7.6cm across. The cut fruit is 2 inches/5.1cm in height and 3 inches/7.6cm across. I’ve stuffed the items with polyfill. This pattern consists of 7 pages. It comes with 18 pictures showing the different stages of crocheting and various view angles.
The acrylic yarn I used is 18 wraps per inch and hence is categorised under ‘fine/laceweight’ yarn. Wraps per inch (or WPI) is a measure of the grist or the thickness of a yarn. I used a size 2.2mm crochet hook.
