Quick and easy to knit, the Pomeroy socks offer an engaging alternative to “plain vanilla” stockinette socks. They’re worked top down on double-pointed needles and feature knit-purl textures on the cuff followed by a wide rib.

Finished Size 7¾ (9½)“ foot circumference and about 8¼ (10)” foot length. Sample shown measures 7¾“.
Yarn Anzula Squishy (80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon; 385 yd 352 m/4.02 oz 114 g: heidi, 1 (2) skeins.
Needles Size 1 (2.25mm) set of 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Marker (m); tapestry needle.
Gauge 16½ sts and 221/2 rnds = 2” in St st.
- These socks are worked in the round from the top down.
- Slip sts pwise with yarn in back, except where indicated otherwise.
- The cuff is quite stretchy and should accommodate a wide range of calf sizes. If you have large calves or prefer a longer leg, you may wish to knit the first 3 inches/8 cm or so on a larger needle (US #1.5/2.50mm).
