Pongo Vest
Pongo is a useful vest for your mid-season outfits. Made in 4 sizes, it has a loose fit but doesn’t clutter under jackets so it’s perfect for layered dressing. Below, the main steps of the process:
We will make the BACK and the FRONT separately.
We will make frills both on BACK and FRONT panels (OPTIONAL)
We will sew SHOULDERS.
We will pick up stitches along the armholes to knit borders.
And finally we will sew SIDES.

Before we begin, I’d like to give you some simple pointers:
First, read the whole text. On the last page you will find the reference measurements for the various sizes of the finished garment. Choose yours, considering that the vest has a fairly soft fit. Isolate instructions in text, underlining them or highlighting them with a different color.
If you find that you do not know the techniques used, watch the video tutorials now. Scan the QR and access, without any registration, to canva.com, in view-only mode.
It is always important to make a small guage swatch with the yarn you have chosen. Check that, with the same number of stitches and rows, your guage matches ours. If not, try to increase or decrease the tension while working or, even, to change needles size. In any case, being a handmade product, it is normal that small differences may be between our sample and your finished garment. Always give space and confidence to your creativity!
