This pattern is 19 pages long and includes the instructions for the pony, as well as the horse-trailer / horse-box, horse-blanket, bale of hay, jump, trophy, saddle & reins. It contains loads of photos to help you every step of the way and it is written in American crochet terms.

You will need:
Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your pony will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used Patons Smoothie DK Yarn (this is quite a thick DK yarn so it is equivalent to aran or light worsted weight in other brands) and my finished pony measures 13cm tall.

For the pony you will need the following colours:
Pale pink, grey, beige and cream.

For the horse trailer / horse box you will need the following colours:
Grey, blue, black and a small amount of white.

For the trophy, horse blanket, jump, haybale, saddle & reins, you will need the following:
Brown, red, white, yellow and blue.

A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.

A small amount of stuffing.

Black finer yarn or embroidery thread for the facial details.

A pair of 6mm black safety eyes (the eyes can be embroidered if preferred).

Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and a couple of stitch markers.
