This is a pattern I made myself. I like how it turned out and have had multiple people asking me about it, so I thought I would share it.

This pattern will produce a medium size (about 30 cm long) poodle softie in a Continental show cut. It’s a perfect gift to a dog lover, or why not a little companion for yourself?

Gauge is not overly important, as long as the stuffing doesn’t poke through. You will need two types of yarn - a smooth one for the shaved parts (such as a cotton blend) and a thicker yarn that can be brushed out for the coated parts (such as an acrylic or wool blend).
You will need very roughly 50 g (probably less) for the shaved parts and roughly 150-200 g for the coated parts, depending on what yarn you use.

Other materials needed are safety nose and eyes (unless you want to embroider these on), hook of course, slicker brush, filling and a pair of scissors to shape the fur.
