Ever want to wear a full pool set? Fulfill your wacky scarf and pool lovin’ dreams right here. This is a tutorial that comes with detailed instructions, diagrams, and pictures that’ll teach you how to make all pool balls from beginning to end, and how to turn it into a wearable scarf!
The pattern is recommended for intermediate crocheters and intermediate-to-advanced crafters as it combines crochet with skills such as hand sewing and cutting. As far as stitch techniques, here are all the stitches used:
•MR: magic ring
•FO: fasten off
•ch: chain
•st/sts: stitch/stitches
•slst: slip stitch
•sc: single crochet
•scFLO: single crochet in front loops only
•sc2: single crochet in the next two stitches
•2sc: two single crochet in one stitch (increase)
•sc2tog: single crochet 2 together (decrease)
Final product is one size, measuring 55” long, and uses the following materials:
•3.75 mm crochet hook
•5 mm crochet hook
•15g each of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, burgundy, and black category 4 yarn
•40g of white category 4 yarn.
•4.5g of white category 1 yarn
•Stitch markers
•Polyfill/stuffing
•Scissors
•Darning needle
You will need the following materials if you want felt numbers:
•Black felt (a 4” x 4” scrap will do)
•Black sewing thread
•Sewing needle
•White paint pen/white fabric pen
You will need the following materials if you want to embroider numbers:
•Black embroidery floss
•Embroidery needle
•Disappearing ink pen
