Just a little note: I am based in the UK and my patterns are written in English using UK terminology.

It’s easy to end up with lots of oddments of yarn that you can’t bear to throw away but can’t think what to do with. Enter…the stash buster!
This is my stash buster, an Andy Warhol inspired Pop Art Campervan cushion cover, made from lots of oddments of double knitting yarn. Definitely bright and cheerful!

To make yours you’ll need total of approximately 225g/670 metres of double knitting yarn and a variety of violently clashing colours. You can of course make yours a much calmer and co-ordinated example or just go wild! Who says things should match? I also used 5 x 2.5cm buttons and an 18″ cushion pad. I covered my buttons with crochet because, unbelievably, I didn’t have any bright enough in my stash! I’ve included the instructions for this too.

The finished cushion measures approximately 18″/46cm square and is knitted on 4mm needles.

The tension is 22 stitches and 30 rows to 4″/10cm square worked over stocking stitch.

The colour method used is intarsia.
