Pop 'n' Bop
The Pop ‘n’ Bop Socks are like sugar popping in a strawberries and cream dessert or caramel popcorn in the pan. Simple and tasty as everyone likes it.
The socks are designed in mosaic knitting which uses only knit, purl and slip stitches. It’s a very easy way to create a colorwork pattern while only holding one strand of yarn at a time.

The pattern is very easy to memorize and knit up quick due to the DK / worsted yarn weight.
I designed them as a pair of mismatched socks because nothing makes me happier than a pair of fun socks! If you don’t like the idea of mismatched socks just knit two the same: make the CREAM ONE or the RED ONE two times.
SIZES: S 40 sts (M 44 sts) L 48 sts (XL 52 sts)
Foot circumference:
S 18cm/7” (M 21cm/8”) L 24cm/8” (XL 27cm/10”)
Measure around the ball of your foot.
Knitted socks are intended to have just a bit of negative ease –it means that just finished sock is going to stretch a bit on your foot but not as the factory made socks. Take your time to get measurements and knit the gauge.
GAUGE: 22 sts x 24 rows in pattern = 10 x 10 cm (4” x 4”) on 3.00 mm needles (no US equivalent; UK size 11) of your choice: DPNS, short circulars or long circular for Magic Loop (min.100cm/39”) or other size you need to obtain the gauge.
I knit rather loosely and usually take needles a size smaller than recommended by the yarn brand. Probably a lot of you would take the needles a size bigger than mentioned above to obtain the gauge.
MATERIALS: Worsted / DK sock yarn of your choice.
Color A: 70-100 g/ ca.140-210 m in color red
Color B: 70-100 g/ ca.140-210 m in color off white
Color C: 20-25 g / 40-50 m for contrasting cuff and toe in yellow/mustard
I used Drops Lima yarn from Garnstudio: off white # 0100; goldenrod # 2923; blush # 9022.
