This pattern was designed for the Birdstreet Yarn Advent 2022. Everyone who has purchased the advent will be able to use their download code for a free pattern. Only black and white images of the design will be released, keeping the element of surprise for those knitting along as they open their advent. Colour images and versions of the pattern will be updated on Boxing Day.

The idea of this pattern is that you get to knit a little each day, enjoying each colour as you open it, without the pressure of finishing a whole item in such a busy month. Once all of the colours have been opened and the madness of the festive season has calmed, you can continue with the project, completing it at your leisure. It also gives you the chance to play with the colours a little, first using them in opening order and then moving them into a fade. It is a simple, double loop tube cowl with texture, slip stitches, cables and colour-play, that will hopefully bring you a mindful moment in the build up to Christmas.

This pattern requires 24 different colours, minis, leftovers or advent skeins will work, plus a full skein of a semi solid colour that coordinates or contrasts.
