Pop Rocks 💥 Shawl
Do you remember the Pop Rocks candies from your childhood, popping and fizzing as you ate them? I wanted to highlight the explosions of color and they served as the inspiration for my new shawl! This design is a simple asymmetrical shawl, knit sideways and on a background of stockinette stitches. Pop Rocks Rows are knit holding the mohair doubled to really give it a burst of color and texture!!! Quick and easy, this shawl will fly off the needles and be around your neck in no time!

Note: If you are allergic to mohair, Emma’s Yarn has a brand new Suri Silk yarn that is super soft and perfect for this design!!!

Needles: 4/3.5mm 16” circular needles, and one size #6/4mm needle for bind off

Notions: Stitch Markers (optional), T-pins and blocking wires for blocking

Gauge: 19 sts = 4 inches in stockinette after light blocking. Although gauge is not crucial for this project, it will affect the finished size and yarn requirements. A looser gauge will result in the use of more yarn.
