Pop Tab Clutch
This pattern is written with detailed directions on crocheting with pop tabs to make bags and accessories. It includes closeup pictures tutorial-style appropriate for the beginning crocheter.
It takes approximately 500 pop tabs for a clutch of this size. I have pop tabs already collected, cleaned and sharp edges removed for sale if desired - you may e-mail me at shellyk@shellykang.com for pricing, or PM me here on Ravelry.
Once you learn to crochet the tabs together, it is easy to make a bag of almost any size and shape you want. You will also need a 10” zipper for the closure. The pattern is written to include a crocheted lining, but for those familiar with sewing, a fabric lining would be just as easy, and less yarn would be needed.
I used Euroflax linen for this sample bag as it is a strong yarn that comes in many colors. You could just as easily use perle cotton, which is much less expensive, especially if you’re going to line it with store-bought fabric.
