Popcorn Cowl
The popcorn stitch is a fun stitch to crochet and makes a bold statement. I designed this cowl to be versatile, so you can keep warm on really cold days or cinch and button the front when there is just a nip in the air. When made in a soft, natural fiber, such as the wool yarn listed below, this cowl will be a pleasure to wear in any weather!
One Size
Materials required to crochet the Popcorn Cowl:
Approximately 175 yards super bulky weight yarn (Cascade Lana Grande used)
Crochet hook size N 10mm
Stitch Markers
Button 1” – 1 ½” in diameter
Sewing thread and needle
Stitches Used and Abbreviations:
Chain (ch)
Stitch (st)
Single Crochet (sc)
Single Crochet Popcorn (scp)
As it is a less commonly known stitch, I have included instructions for the single crochet popcorn stitch in the pattern.
