Popcorn Dreams is a one skein wonder scarf. It is a long, narrow crescent shaped scarf/neck wrap, beginning and ending in a point. The delicate texture made with eyelets and popcorns, makes it ideal for spring and autumn.
The outer edge has a dragon’s tooth shaping and the inner, neck edge, is a long shallow curve. The four row pattern repeat is easy to memorise and works up really fast - you just need to take care with your shapings. You’ll be done before you know it!!

Size
The blocked length is approx. 60”, and the width at the widest point is approx. 9”.
(NB The photos of the pale blue version, made by my tester, had a few extra repeats in the middle section to give her a bit more length but she had more than one skein available.)

Yarn type
One 100g /400-425m skein of 4 ply merino

Designed to be made with that one precious skein of hand dyed merino 4 ply you’ve been saving for the perfect project!! There are instructions included on how to make sure your yarn lasts all the way to the end too. (I would also recommend using sock yarn, as it has a little more length in each skein than a pure merino.)
I have tried it with DK as well though - you still need about the same amount in metres, it will just come out a bit larger.

Pattern Notes
The full and comprehensive pattern (currently only in UK terms) should mean you can’t go wrong. If you prefer to work from a chart, there’s one of those as well, showing every single stitch - and all the extra notes you need are also printed on the chart, so there’s no need to print both if you don’t want to. (The chart has both UK & US Terms on the Key to Symbols and is best printed in colour if possible.)

Skill Level
I would place it at Easy/Intermediate.
I wanted it to be simple enough for an adventurous beginner but at the same time, interesting enough if you had more skill.

I hope you enjoy making and wearing Popcorn Dreams as much as I enjoyed designing it. Please link your version so I (and everyone else!) can take a look and share on Instagram with the hashtag #popcorndreamsscarf (not just popcorndreams please, as that will bring up lots of pictures of, well, popcorn!!)

And if you should encounter any issues, feel free to drop me a line and I’ll do my best to help.

Thank you!!
