This sweater is worked from the top down, seamlessly. First, work the back yoke in back-and-forth rows with increases on both sides, then, the back piece. Next, pick up the stitches for the shoulders of the front on both sides of the yoke (worked separately), join them together to form the front piece. The back and front pieces are joined together in the bottom part of the armholes, the body is worked in the round.
Next, pick up the stitches along the neckline and work the neckband. Pick up the stitches along the armholes for the sleeves, which are first worked in short rows (cap sleeve), then in the round.
