Poplar Tee
The Poplar Tee was designed for Tolt Yarn and Wool’s Camp Tolt 2022
From the designer: In northeastern Minnesota, where the main industry has historically been timber, we call aspen trees poplar and sometimes popple. I remember sitting high in the pulp truck as a kid, listening to my dad talking about the price of popple with other
men. As I grew, I learned about how those trees, brought to market for pulp and paper, were connected to others through their roots underground. Poplar tree stands are the largest living organism on earth.
This sweater was designed to be worked on while you’re sitting by the fire or hiking on the trail. The colorwork design
motifs are easy to memorize. The sweater’s vertical lines mimic the look of trees in the forest.
