If you’ve ever opened a can of refrigerated breadsticks or cinnamon rolls, you are sure to see the resemblance in the stitch pattern used here! This super snuggly infinity scarf layers blocks of color, defined by perforated lines, with a gorgeous bargello stitch.
The color blocks are light & lofty, due to a “purl in the row below” technique, which is fully explained & illustrated in the pattern, and, after a few repeats, is surprisingly easy to do.
The bargello colorwork is also fun & fast: working with just one color at a time, & making the most of slipped stitches to achieve a beautiful effect. The scarf is worked in the round in a long tube, beginning with a provisional cast-on, & the two ends are grafted together. Instructions are given for both dk & fingering weight yarns.
