Here’s my version of a Penguin: Popple Pingles.

This pattern can be made with any kind off yarn you have available.Use the correct hook for the yarn you have chosen. The bulkier your yarn is the bigger your Penguin.

You can adjust this pattern any way you like:
put in a rattle and you have a nice baby-toy.Give Popple a flower on his head and you have a girl.
