Popple Shawl
This shawl is named after a lake my grandparents had a cabin on when I was young. The colors remind me of the lake water and the reeds and grasses that grew in the lake. We did a lot of fishing and swimming in this lake.
This shawl is worked with a variegated fingering weight yarn and a contrasting fingering weight yarn. The colors used for the sample are discontinued colors but any smooth fingering weight yarns will work. Choose two colors (1 skein each) that make you happy!
Gauge is not real critical. Gauge is quoted in unblocked format due to the amount of stretching the knitter will do when blocking.
The pattern is for one size. The nupps are challenging but fun. The wave pattern works up quickly because of dropping the extra wraps and is a lot of fun. The border is worked perpendicular to the shawl and attached to the shawl while it is work.
This pattern has been test knit and tech edited.
Special thanks to Diebabs for test knitting!
