The hat is worked in the round with the techniques cables and lace. Model 1 is worked with a longer/double brim while model 2 has not, otherwise they are all the same. The brim is worked as a hem so no sewing. Alternatively, you can do a provisional cast on (not described in this pattern). The size of the hat can be varied by using thicker or thinner yarn and/or changing the needle size. Please note that by using another yarn, the requirements may be different than those stated.

Circumference: approx. 43 - 47 cm/17-18 ½ ”
Length: approx. 23 cm/9”

Yarn: Lace/2 ply. 100 gr.= 500 - 700 meters.
Model 1: 50 grams, 350 m/ 383 yards.
Model 2: 36 grams, 189 m/ 206 yards.

Gauge in lace pattern (not blocked):
28 stitches x 42 row = 10 x 10 cm (4” x 4”)

Circular needle 2.5mm (US 1 ½), 40 cm.
Circular needle 2.5mm (US 1 ½), 60-80 cm (Brim).
5 DPN`s 2.5mm (US 1 ½) Cable needle 2.5mm (US 1 ½). 1 (3) stitch markers.
