Poppycock! is a dramatic shawl reminiscent of a peacock’s tail. Beginning with a cluster of small feathers, it continues through sections of ever-growing feathers, ending with a flourish of large feathers along the outer edge. Classic Elite’s Silky Alpaca Lace in 2466 “Midnight Forest” is the perfect yarn for this feathery wrap.

Yarn: Approximately 1500 yards (1372m) of lace weight yarn. (White version used approximately 1160 yards/1073m of yarn).
Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) circular needle, 32” (80cm) or longer (or size needed to obtain gauge). Size D/3 (3.25mm) crochet hook for “unvented” edge. (White version was knit using US size 1.5/2.5mm needles and a size C/2.75mm crochet hook for edging).
Gauge: 26st = 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
Finished Measurements: 71” (180cm) tip-to-tail, 48” (122cm) across at center, 40” (102cm) along spine. (White shawl measures 30.5”/77cm along spine, 57”/145cm tip-to-tail, and 36”/92cm across at center).

Pattern includes a combination of text and charts.
