Porcelain Cowl
Enjoy 50% off of this pattern!
Would you like to add a new set of skills to your arsenal? Are you curious about brioche knitting, which produces a lofty and soft fabric with lots of texture?
If you’re looking for a really exciting knit, sprinkled with a little challenge, then Porcelain Cowl is your next project. Porcelain Cowl uses the same motif as my Porcelain Hat because it really needed a companion.
This knit is a reversible and elegant design. Set off your favorite colorful or variegated yarn on one side with contrasting background color on the other side. The result is like two different cowls because the fabric is completely reversible.
Porcelain Cowl is an enjoyable accessory that combines the shape of triangular shawl with a casual cowl, which is worked in one piece, back and forth from the bottom-up. Section 1 starts at the cast-on tip, with five stitches at the bottom point, and increases steadily as it is worked upwards in a triangle until it’s wide enough to go around your neck comfortably (the pattern is adaptable). Then section 2 is worked straight up (either flat or in the round) to form the body around the neck and finished with a beautiful I-cord bind off edge, then seamed and blocked.
The pattern is completely charted so that you can work row by row according to chart. The pattern is easily adjusted to any size by simply adding or reducing repeat sections.
