Porcini Mushrooms
A fun little mushroom knitting pattern for intermediate knitters. These mushrooms are knit in the round on double-pointed needles and make a great addition to your autumn-inspired home decoration.
It takes about 2 hours to finish one and you only need scrap quantities of fingering yarn. They are knit on 2.00 mm dpns, but you can pretty much knit them with any yarn/needle size. They’ll be bigger (and not lifesized) then, but that could be beautiful as well.
The pattern is written instructions only and the most important/difficult steps are supported by pictures. There are video tutorials for all knitting techniques available on top of that.
You’ll only need scraps of fingering yarn.
There is a second alternative included in this pattern for advanced knitters. In this case, you will need two sets of dpns.
Errata (both fixed if you download it now):
- Round 7 was missing a “k2”, it should have been k1,KLL, k3, KLL, k3,k2
- the advanced version: You need to knit one more round in white Round 53: k3, KLL ,k6, KLL, k3 (56 stitches)
And then you need to join after round 1 and not after round 2.
