Port Isaac
Port Isaac is a small fishing village on the Cornish Coast. Its roads are very narrow, leading to one aptly named ‘Squeezy Belly Alley’. I like the way the cables of this shawl imitate the intertwining alleyways you encounter as you walk down through the village to the harbor where you can buy freshly caught fish.
This shawl is knit from the neck down using two colors. It combines cables and lace, alternating with stockinette sections and finishes with a lace edge bind off.
You will need approximately 350yds of each of two colors of fingering weight yarn. A solid color is best for the cable and lace sections, while a variegated or tonal color will suit the stockinette.
