Port Oxford Market Bag
A simple stretchy market bag with a solid bottom, an easy lace pattern, and an adjustable strap. It has endless possible lace variations and is a great lace learning project.
It is also a terrific stash buster. Because it is knit bottom up, I’ve included when to stop so that you still have enough to complete the bag.
The gauge is totally unimportant! With 100 grams your bag will be about 8” deep, if you want a bigger bag you can up the needle size or add more yarn. I made the bags with 4 different cotton yarns in two yarn weights and provide instructions for both weights. Instead of a hard and fast stitch/row counts there are approximate measurements.
