This is a pattern I designed for my son who is an avid Portal fan.

Translating the ‘Aperture’ logo into a knitting chart and then into an illusion chart was a challenge and I was so pleased that it worked out. It was my first Illusion project and I’m still fascinated by it.

I am sharing this pattern for FREE, please enjoy and share your finished photos.

The yarn, needles, materials and gauge detailed will give you a scarf the same as mine. Obviously, you can use anything you want as a scarf does not need to ‘fit’.

If you find any errors please let me know and I’ll try to help.

SIZE: 6ft (1.85m) long by 8” (20cm) wide.

GAUGE: 4” (10cm) = 19 stitches x 33 rows

MATERIALS:
Pair 4mm straight knitting needles
130g (280 yds) Stylecraft Special Aran in Black (background) and
130g (280 yds) Stylecraft Special Aran Emperor Purple (contrast)

Yardage entirely dependent on how long you make it and if you substitute other yarns
