Porthtowan is an airy lightweight hat suitable for all year round, with options to work as a beanie or a slightly longer slouch style hat. I’ve found it’s also the perfect weight to wear under a cycling helmet on colder mornings, or keep in your pocket in case a sudden chill arrives in the air!

The hat is worked from the cuff up in the round and decreased at the crown over the last 3cm.
Choose to work the lace pattern from written instructions or a chart.
Note that the stitch marker will move on some rounds when a double decrease is worked.
